|The Brothers Act|
Centerville Freshman Tanner Cowan is the lone ranked wrestler in this bracket while Bondurant Farrar’s Patrick Rooney sports an impressive record heading into districts.
Dalton Kingery of PCM looks to make a return trip to the state meet from this bracket. TJ Love of Chariton appears on paper to push Kingery for the top spot and make his first trip to state.
A wide open weight class where anyone in the bracket could win. Ronnie Harrison of Saydel and Colby VanArkel of Bondurant Farrar have the best records of the group and could be called the slight favorites from here.
Matt Snyder of Bondurant is the lone senior of this evenly matched group while Chariton’s Ryley Williams is the lone 30 match winner.
Albia’s 6th ranked Matt White is the heavy favorite in this bracket. Chariton’s 10th ranked Dustin Harberts is the slight favorite to also advance, but Seth Bozman of Saydel has plenty of experience and will also be pushing for a qualifying spot.
Jacob England of Winterest has been wrestling well as of late and defeated 2 time placewinner Kyler Risher of Centerville at Sectionals. The pair are heavily favored to make it out to state.
Another completely wide open weight class. Schyler Morgan of Centerville has been solid in limited action and Tyler Groves of Saydel has a solid record heading to districts.
4th ranked Jimmie Schuessler of North Polk and 9th ranked Mitchell Hackett of Winterset are favored to reach state. Zach Fligg of Davis County has had a solid season and could make things interesting as a spoiler here.
Dakotah Poe of Albia is the favorite here. The three remaining wrestlers will be in for a battle to capture the 2nd spot here.
Returning state champion Ethan Moorman is heavily favored to return to state. Devin Mitchell of Bondurant Farrar has a very nice record, but has no wins over ranked wrestlers in the deepest weight class of class 2a so he comes in here virtually unknown.
Centerville’s Mike England joins teammate Ethan Moorman as a 2nd ranked wrestler heavily favored to earn a state berth. #4 Noah Pickard is favored to make state, but will have his hands full and then some with England.
Woodward Granger’s Jack Manning appears poised to make a return trip to the state tournament. Jacob Kaska of Chariton is a 30 match winner that could follow Manning, but this appears to be a very evenly match group of 3 wrestlers.
In perhaps the most competive weight overall in this district, 7th rated Slater Poe of Albia headlines a solid group of athletes. Troy Brown of Carlisle has been the Wildcats best wrestler all season and Dustin Moore of PCM handed 5th ranked Cole Jackson of Gilbert his lone loss of the season.
9th ranked Tony Saucedo of Clarke appears to be the favorite here and PCM’s Jake Tool will look to earn a state berth as a sophomore.
