103 - Adam Hight of Nodaway Valley (silver) built up a 5-0 first period lead on his way to a 10-0 major decision over Kendall Davis of West Central Valley. The Class 1A second-ranked Hight improved to 30-0 on the season with the victory.
    
    
112 - Jackson Winkelbauer of Prairie Valley (black) used 11 near fall points on his way to a 20-2 technical fall over Tyler Hatch of Nodaway Valley. This was the 100th career victory for Winkelbauer (29-3), ranked seventh in 1A.
    
    
119 - In a battle of ranked wrestlers, Travis Taylor of Prairie Valley (red) caught and pinned Matt Boyington of Humboldt in 3:56. Boyington led 2-1 after the first period, but Taylor caught him in a neck wrench for the fall. Taylor, ranked third in 1A, improved to 32-0, while Boyington, ranked seventh in 2A, fell to 29-7.
    
    
125 - James Houchins of Interstate 35 (red) escaped the upset bid by Eric Parmenter of Perry, with an 8-6 victory. Houchins, ranked second in 1A, trailed 5-2 after two periods, but scored a reversal, takedown and two near fall points in the third to improve to 32-0 on the season.
    
    
130 - Mitch Johnson of Interstate 35 (red) aggravated a leg injury during his finals match with Paul Robinson of Underwood. Robinson took advantage and scored a 6-4 upset win over the third-ranked Johnson, to avenge a loss from earlier in the month.
    
    
135 - Caleb Hopkins of Coon Rapids-Bayard (red), ranked fifth in 1A, improved to 32-1 with an 11-4 victory over Jon Adams of Underwood.
    
    
140 - In a showdown between top-five ranked wrestlers, Class 1A No. 4 Sam Groves of Nodaway Valley (silver) pinned Class 2A No. 5 Tanner Kampen of Humboldt late in the second period. Groves led 5-2 at the end of the first period thanks to a reverse cradle and caught Kampen on his back again in the second and finished the job. Groves is a perfect 33-0 on the season, while Kampen fell to 29-3. 
Groves was named the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler.
    
    
    
    
145 - The top finals match of the day came at 145, where Class 1A third-ranked Matt Terrell of Interstate 35 (red) rallied for a 12-9 win over Class 2A eighth-ranked Kyle Bergemann of Jefferson-Scranton/Paton-Churdan. Terrell was nearly pinned late in the first period when Bergemann used a lateral drop. Terrell trailed 7-4 at the end of the first, but put Bergemann on his back in the second to go up, 10-7. The Roadrunner finished off a takedown in the final seconds to secure the thrilling win and improved to 30-0 on the year. Bergemann fell to 29-6.
    
    
152 - Lance Jones of Interstate 35 (red) used a five-point second period for a 6-2 win over Kyle Ray of Nodaway Valley.
    
    
160 - Marty Ball of Jefferson-Scranton/Paton-Churdan (black) scored three takedowns and three near fall points on his way to a 9-2 victory over Dalton Rasch of Manson-Northwest Webster.
    
    
171 - Travis Forkner of Jefferson-Scranton/Paton-Churdan (black) led 11-0 in the third period when he pinned Quinn Wilson of Oakland (Riverside) in 5:00. Forkner, ranked third in 2A, improved to 34-1 on the season.
    
    
189 - Ben Durbin of Gilbert (white) trailed 2-0 at the end of the first period against Trevor Jorgensen of Guthrie Center, but dominated from that point for a 13-4 major decision. Durbin, ranked ninth in 2A, improved to 28-1, while Jorgensen fell to 24-3.
    
    
215 - Dillon Heesch of Southeast Webster (silver) pinned John Sawhill of Jefferson-Scranton/Paton-Churdan in 5:44. Heesch, the top-ranked 215-pounder in 1A, improved to 24-0 and picked up his 100th career victory.
    
    
285 - A pair of ranked Class 1A heavyweights met to close out the night. Fourth-ranked Levi Morris of Nodaway Valley (black) defeated No. 10 Cody Frantum of Woodward-Granger, 3-0.
