103 - In a battle between talented freshmen, Cole Welter of Don Bosco (yellow) pinned Derric Thomas of Mason City Newman in 1:27.

112 - Bart Reiter of Don Bosco (yellow) is halfway to joining brother Mack as a four-time State champ after defeating Cameron Wagner of Belle Plaine, 3-0. Reiter won at 103 last season for the Dons and has helped the team win a pair of Class 1A State Championships.

119 - The tables were turned in a re-match of last season's 119-pound title bout. Travis Taylor of Prairie Valley (white headgear) became the first State champ in school history with a 4-2 overtime win over defending champ Jase Thompson of Mason City Newman. Taylor scored a pair of near fall points late in the third period and won with a takedown in overtime.

125 -  Dalton Jensen of Missouri Valley (red) capped off an amazing run through the 125-pound weight class with a pin in 1:14 over Brad Exline of West Branch. Jensen pinned his way through the tournament and was named the Class 1A Outstanding Wrestler. The senior added this title to the 103-pound crown he claimed as a sophomore.

130 - Marshall Koethe of Akron-Westfield (black) won his second straight State title with a pin in 1:58 over Mitch Johnson of Interstate 35. Koethe is a three-time finalist and goes after a third gold medal next season, while Johnson, also a junior, is a three-time State medalist.

135 - Nate Herda of Central Lyon (purple) scored a takedown in overtime for a 5-3 victory over Jordan Hasenkamp of Twin River Valley. Herda handed Hasenkamp, a two-time State runner-up, his first loss of the season.

140 - The saddest moment of the State Finals came here, when Sam Groves of Nodaway Valley (black) was called for a slam against Johnny Siegel of New London/WMU in the first period. When Siegel was not allowed to continue wrestling, he was awarded the match by disqualification. A tough way for the senior Groves to lose his first match of the season, to say the least.

145 -  After the disappointment at 140, Nick LeClere of North Linn (white) and Matt Terrell of Interstate 35 treated the crowd to the best title bout of the night. The two went back and forth the entire match, before LeClere pulled away late for a thrilling 13-10 victory. LeClere finished his senior season a perfect 45-0 a year after finishing second, while Terrell was handed his first defeat of his senior campaign.

152 - A year after becoming the first State wrestling place finisher in Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn school history, Mike Finch (maroon) became his school's first State Champion, with a pin in 4:29 over two-time runner-up Gavin Nelson of Missouri Valley.

160 - In a battle of undefeated wrestlers, Jordan Gacke of Central Lyon (yellow headgear) prevailed over Marshall Barney of Logan-Magnolia, 3-1. That win gave Central Lyon a third-place tie in the team race with Akron-Westfield.

171 - Cole Heimer of Nora Springs-Rock Falls (white) won 11-2 over Adam Jergens of Twin River Valley to finish off a perfect 50-0 senior season. Heimer, a State runner-up last season, will be the final State champ for NS-RF, who will consolidate with another school next season.

189 -  Jared Enderton of Graettinger-Terril (white) defeated Sam Baier of Alburnett, 3-1.

215 -  Dillon Heesch of Southeast Webster-Grand (silver) became the second State champ in school history with a 4-1 win over Jadd Dithmart of Ogden. Heesch finished the season a perfect 42-0.

285 - Defending State champ Donovan Grove of Southeast Webster-Grand (silver) closed out his career with a second title, a 9-3 win over Kyle Kober of West Branch.
