Third-Place Match - Andrew Long (IA) pinned Grant Sutter (WI), 1:55
Long scored two early takedowns for a 2-0 lead. He then trapped the arm of Sutter and turned him for three exposure points and a 5-0 lead. After they went back up to their feet, Long used a headlock to send Sutter to his back. Long got the fall with five seconds left in the first period.

There was no score in the first period, so the two wrestlers went into the clinch to start the second. Moen won toss and locked first. After the two worked for position for a few moments, Moen launched Haynes for a three-point throw. Moen was called for passivity late in the match, but Haynes was unable to turn him and the Saydel High School grappler gave team Iowa a Cadet Greco-Roman champion. Moen was hit with a penalty point in the final seconds for fleeing the mat.
