Event format and online registration info for U23 World Team Trials in Rochester, Minn., Oct. 6-8

The U23 World Team Trials is a new event on the USA Wrestling schedule. The tournament will be held in all three disciplines at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minn., October 6-8.

This is a new age group within United World Wrestling. Athletes who are between 19-23 years old can enter (Born 1994-1998), with 18-year-olds (Born 1999) able to compete with a medical and parental certificate.

Champions from the U23 World Team Trials earn the right to represent the United States at the new U23 World Championships, set for Bydgoszcz, Poland, November 21-26.

To clarify some questions which USA Wrestling has received, we wanted to provide some specific details at this time.
