USA, Russia neck and neck heading into final day of Cadet World Championships

ATHENS, Greece — So here we are again. The United States and Russia. Neck and neck. A World team title hanging in the balance entering a tournament’s final day.

We’ve seen this before. It was this way last month in Finland at the Junior World Championships. It was this way a couple weeks ago in Paris. The Americans prevailed both times in team races that went down to the final match.

Could it go down to the wire again Sunday? That’s a scenario some associated with USA Wrestling would like to see.

Unofficially, Russia finished Saturday with a one-point advantage over the United States.
