CEDAR RAPIDS — Logan Hopp could have thrown in the towel. No one would have blamed him.
In fact, most people in his situation probably would have just walked away from wrestling and been done after suffering two torn ACLs which cost him the better part of two years of his wrestling career.

That’s not the way Logan Hopp is wired. Give up? Quit? No way, no how. Hopp was going to go down swinging, which is exactly what he did.

Basically wrestling on one leg for the NCAA Super Regional Central Tournament, Hopp qualified for the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships at the U.S. Cellular Center, his fourth trip to nationals.
While Hopp didn’t end the way he wanted — he lost his two matches at nationals to end his career — he went down the way he wanted to — leaving everything he had on the mat.
