Wrestling helps take Kreiter to the NFL

Casey Kreiter always dreamed of playing in the National Football League, although deep in his heart, wrestling is still his first love.
Kreiter grew up in DeWitt, the son of Kurt Kreiter, who was the Sabers’ wrestling coach. Kreiter was in the wrestling room with his father every day as soon as he could walk.
But when it came time to pick a college and choose a sport, Kreiter was getting NCAA Division I looks for football. So he ended up walking on at Iowa, where he spent his last three seasons as the Hawkeyes’ long snapper, earning Academic All-Big Ten honors all three years.
