PELLA — With the second portion of its season on the horizon, the Central College wrestling team is No. 17 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III dual team rankings.

The Dutch are ranked as a team despite having no individuals ranked by the NWCA. Central was 2-0 in December after a 49-0 shutout of Augustana College (Ill.) on December 5 and a 45-4 triumph of Nebraska Wesleyan University on December 12.

Central went 4-0 at the Adrian College (Mich.) duals and 3-1 at the Scotty Wood duals hosted by Mulhenberg College (Pa.).

As a team, Central has an 10-2 dual mark with losses to No. 6 Coe College (29-12) and No. 16 Messiah College (Pa.) (27-25). The Dutch have a 27-17 victory over No. 18 Muhlenberg on the resume. They also have a win over Alma College (Mich.), who was ranked No. 12 at the time.

Central kicks off the second half of the season by hosting the Under Armour Invitational on Saturday in H.S. Kuyper Fieldhouse.
