Jason has been a head coach for 29 years.  Six years at CMB from 1991-1997, four years at Oskaloosa from 1997-2001, and 19 years at Southeast Polk from 2001-2020.  His dual meet record is 480-106-6.  His 2019-20 season was 20-0.  Jason’s teams were 12x District Champs, 6 Runner-ups.  Under his guidance his teams won the State tournament four times, three times were runner-ups, one time 3rd and two times 4th.  Five times his team won the State dual championships, two times they were runner-ups, two times they were 3rd place, two times they were 4th place.


Jason had 173 State Qualifiers and 119 of them were place-winners.  Of those he had 24 State Champions, 21 2nd place, 17 3rd place, 15 4th place, 12 5th place, 13 6th place, 10 7th place and 7 8th place finishers.


Jason’s leadership was above the board in wrestling all around.  The following is his list of coaching leadership.
